Americans are voting less and less.  Voting is projected by some to be as low as 40% in this election.  Most democracies in the world have a much high participation in the election process. 

Please participate.  Study the issues.  Spend time in learning what the candidates stand for and what the ballot measures and various initiatives mean to your area.  Our democracy depends on an educated populace voting for the best candidates for each position.

I would further advise you to pay less attention to the media campaigns and more attention to the actual written ballot measures and more attention to the actual candidates’ position on issues.  Media hype and negative campaigning has too much effect on voting in America.

Most important of all.  Get out and vote.
